Pizza Styles

Whats your favorite style of pizza?

  • Neapolitan: Authentic Italian pizza, wood fired, airy dough with a crunch

  • NY Style: Hand tossed, foldable thin crust

  • Tomato Pie:  Reversed Cheese and sauce.  aka NJ Pie

  • Sicilian:  1-2 inch pizza, pillowey dough with air pockets and a crunchy base. Aka the Square

  • Grandma: Thinner version of above

  • Deep Dish: 2 inch crust, pan pizza, flaky buttery crust from Chicago.

  • Detroit: Very crisp Sicilian baked in square pans with baked cheese on the edges to caramelize

  • St Louis:  thin cracker like pizza

  • Bar pie:  similar in my mind to St Louis.  Hand holdable

  • New Haven apizza:  Typically coal fired, dark base, thin crust
